Charities

Helping out in the community has always been an important priority to The Linda Rea Team. We have donated over $500,000 to local and national charities during the past 20 years and look forward to continuing our efforts in the future by doubling this amount by 2030! Thanks to the unwavering support of our local clients, the Linda Rea team has increased and supported charitable contributions with each closed transaction significantly. We are proud to channel our success toward fantastic causes and significantly increase and support charitable contributions, including the Real Estate One Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and many others. Because of our clients' generosity, we can make a meaningful difference in our community. Together, we achieve real estate goals and create a positive social impact. We are grateful for the trust and partnership of our clients, enabling us to give back and support our community and causes that truly make a difference. For the past ten years, the Oakland County Women Build of Habitat for Humanity has united passionate women, men, and organizations in an annual event focused on constructing and rehabilitating homes through voluntarism, fundraising, and teamwork. The team has exponentially grown by increasing 1100% since its inception. We invite you to be a part of this transformative journey. Contact Linda Rea at 248-709-3786 to find out how you can get involved because your contribution matters, and we would be thrilled to have you join us. Check out some of our efforts below!

Helping out in Rochester

Because of our clients, The Linda Rea Team was able to give more than $30,000 this year to various charities and causes!  It is because of you- the clients, our amazing team, and God’s help that we have been able to bless so many people within the Rochester, Michigan area and beyond.

Special Olympics of Michigan

The Real Estate One Charitable Foundation and the Linda Rea Teams contribution of time, talent and financial resources along with the generous individuals in our organization and community have provided an enviable recognition for the Real Estate One Family of Companies in Michigan and across the nation. We are known as a company that “lives and works” in the community. Linda and her team have always seen the value in giving back to the community and in 2023, we are hoping to give even more! We are kicking off our 2023 fundraising by joining in the Polar Plunge to raise funds for Special Olympics of MI. The Rochester Real Estate One office was able to raise over $10,000! And that is being matched at 50% by REO, allowing us to give $15,000

Habitat for Humanity

The Linda Rea Team has been involved with Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County Women Build for the past five years.  We see the value in helping families  live their best life no matter who they are or where they come from.  As Habitat for Humanity says, “We all deserve to have a decent life.  We deserve to feel strength and stability day after day.  We deserve to know we have the power to take care of ourselves and build our own futures.”

The Rainbow Connection

Mission

The Rainbow Connection makes wishes come true for Michigan children with life threatening medical conditions. In addition, we provide support services to eligible wish families in need.

Vision

No child is ever made to wait for a wish.

We Believe…

Our wish families need support before, during, and after their wish.

Dutton Farm

A mother and two daughters…

That is where the story of Dutton Farm began. It was in 2010, out of love and respect for Rebecca “Becca” Smither, the daughter of Michele Smither and sister of Jenny Brown, that Dutton Farm established its roots. Seeing Becca struggle for years to find the right support in the community to give her the ability to explore her gifts and continue to grow, the mother-daughter team decided it was time to find a solution. With a property donation and continued support from Jim Smither, Becca’s father, Dutton Farm had a place to call home and the program began to take on a life. Dutton Farm continues to be a shining light of hope for adults, their families and the community, as they educate and inspire others to see the value that persons with unique abilities can contribute. Knowing there were other individuals in the community who could benefit from their program, Michele and Jenny organized a team that could help advocate for and carry out their mission of “Empowering and supporting adults with disabilities to live a life of purpose, inclusion and dignity.

Caring for Others

We are passionate about caring for those in our community who are struggling both physically and financially. Recently, The Linda Rea Team invited the community to volunteer in their efforts to assist those suffering with cancer by creating care bags for patients receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatments. The “chemo bags” were assembled by The Linda Rea Team, members of the Real Estate One office, Tim Crawford of The Crawford Insurance Group, local business owners, loan officers, several people from the community, and other realtors at our office in downtown Rochester, Michigan.

Our team is involved with many charities throughout the year. From cleaning Habitat homes, raising funds for local needs, shopping for winter coats and gloves, delivering food to Forgotten Harvest and more, The Linda Rea Team values the people of our community.
